Stowers Elementary Education Foundation (SEEF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to enriching the educational journey of students at Stowers Elementary School in Cerritos, California. Through fundraising efforts, SEEF supports a wide range of academic and cultural programs that spark curiosity, celebrate diverse cultures, and inspire kindness and lifelong learning.

With the help of dedicated educators, a strong academic foundation, and a community that lifts each other up, SEEF works to give students the confidence, compassion, and curiosity they need to thrive — academically, socially, and emotionally — both in school and beyond.

Mission
We recognize that classroom resources, student opportunities, and special projects often require funding beyond the school’s standard budget. Our mission is to provide the support and programs that enrich educational opportunities for every student at Stowers Elementary, ensuring that each child feels seen, supported, and encouraged to grow.

Unlike PTA organizations, which often face stricter limitations on fund usage, SEEF has the flexibility to direct resources where they can have the greatest impact. In close partnership with our school principal, we carefully identify the areas of highest need — supporting initiatives that fall outside the scope of PTA or district budgets and making a meaningful difference in students’ learning experiences.

Purpose

The purpose of this foundation is to promote and support the educational experience of the students of Stowers Elementary School by fundraising for:

• Language Resources

• Cultural Enrichment

• Materials, Books and other classroom materials

• Non-ABCUSD budgeted financial support for programs, projects and our students.  

SEEF supports initiatives that align with the school’s mission of developing globally minded, bilingual learners. These include:

• After-school Mandarin tutoring program (e.g. homework help and tutoring)

• Enrichment activities

• Support for the IB curriculum

• Professional development for teachers in global and bilingual education

• And much more
